Overview

To save you & your family from the financial shock of an accident, Accidental Plan provides a lump sum benefit on death and permanent disabilities due to accidents. It also pays for additional funeral expenses in case of a death claim.

Monthly Coverage

Monthly coverage will be calculated according to the premium paid in the previous calendar month:

Documents required for claim

  • Death Certificate issued by authorized Government body (for Death claims)
  • Copy of CNIC of Nominee
  • FIR and Postmortem report in case of Accidental Death (where required)
  • Heir-Ship Certificate to establish claimant and deceased
  • Claimant's Statement
  • Succession certificate/Heirship certificate and Medical record confirming disability or dismemberment (in case of disability)
  • Guardian-ship certificate (if beneficiary is a minor)
  • Attending physicians report, FIR (in case of death or disability due to accident)
  • Any other reasonable document deemed necessary by the company

Exclusions

No benefit shall be payable if the death or disability occurs as a result of:

  1. Intentional self-inflicted injury, murder, suicide and violation of law;
  2. War, strikes, riots, civil commotion and any natural or man-made perils (including chemical, nuclear, biological, and radiological) that results in the declaration of a state of emergency on a local or national level.

Hospital Cash Insurance Plan

Hospital Cash Insurance Plan

Overview

Sudden Hospitalization can cause financial distress to you and your family. Even if the hospitalization is free (government, NGO or Sehat Insaf card), there are other costs like loss-of-Income, medicines, food & transport that you have to pay out of pocket. This plan provides daily allowance for normal and double allowance for ICU & CCU hospitalization of the covered member. Hospitalization due to any reason; illness, disease, accident and maternity is covered under this plan.

Maximum Hospitalization

Maximum consecutive hospitalization and yearly limit is 30 days.

Successive Periods of Hospital Confinement

Hospitalization within 30 days of last hospitalization due to the same reason or illness as last shall not be covered.

Waiting Period

Hospitalization due to sickness within 15 days of enrollment date shall not be payable. There is no waiting period for accidental hospitalization.

Exclusions

No benefit shall be payable if hospitalization occurs as a result of:

  1. Intentional self-inflicted injury, murder or suicide attempt;
  2. Pregnancy and any complications arising from pregnancy during the first nine (9) months from the ENROLLMENT DATE;
  3. Elective treatments or failure to follow medical advice

Q. How is the premium charged?
A. Once signed up for bundle your Insurance premium will be deemed paid.
Q. What are the eligibility criteria to subscribe these plans from WAADA:
A. Subscriber must be: • Zong customer • Activated bundle • Using the same mobile against registered sim in his/her own name
Q: How to claim?
A. A subscriber can initiate the claims at Waada by: • Calling Waada at 021-111-992-232 • Emailing at claims@waada.pk Submit the required documents like FIR or Roznamcha and incident details.
Q. When will I get replacement phone?
A. You will not be getting a replacement phone. Instead a cheque as per settlement amount will be made available to you.
Q. What if repairing the phone cost more than insured amount?
A. You are entitled to a coverage of insured amount only. Any exceeding payments will be borne by the customer.
Q. Can I claim, If I do not block my IMEI or my mobile is not PTA registered?
A. No. Only PTA approved mobiles are covered under this policy. In case of claim, blocking of the IMEIs of the phone are mandatory and proof will be required at the time of claim.
Q. What is the estimated time to settle the claim?
A. Claims are generally settled within 72 hours of the receiving of the complete documents.
Q. Can a customer enrol to multiple subscriptions?
A. One customer can enrol in only in one subscription embedded with the bundle only.
Q. What is Waiting Period or No Claim Period?
A. Waiting Period or No Claim period of a plan (if any) mentioned in the plan overview are the number of days, from the time the plan is subscribed, during which the coverage is not applicable. This is valid just once, at the time of subscribing the plan and not during any renewal period.
Q. Waiting Period or No Claim Period for mobile Insurance?
A. No waiting period in case of theft or total damage. In case of screen protection the waiting period is 30 days.

Q: How is the premium deducted?
A: Once signed up, the daily premium of this plan shall be deducted automatically from the pre-paid balance of the subscriber.
Q: What is Waada Digital Private Limited?
A: WAADA is an insurance technology company which focuses on the retail insurance sector through localized distribution solutions. Waada is acting as a distributor & administrator of these insurance plans. The plans are underwritten by EFU Life Assurance Limited.
Q: What Insurance products are offered by WAADA Digital?
A: WAADA is currently offering three insurance products which includes:

Q: How is my monthly coverage calculated?
  • The coverage/benefit amount in a particular calendar month will be dependent on the premium amount deducted in the last calendar month.
  • Full coverage will be available if full due premium is paid in the last month
  • Example of coverage due to partial payment due to insufficient balance:
    • The customer opted for a daily premium of Rs.2+tax for Rs.200,000 coverage on 1st April.
    • In April, the customer had sufficient balance for deduction for all 30 days. Means the customer paid full premium of Rs.2 x 30 = Rs 60+tax.
    • Customer’s coverage amount in May would remain at Rs.200,000. Means full amount would be paid in case of a claim.
    • In May, if there was no claim and the customer had sufficient balance only on 18 out of 31 days in the month (means 58% of the days), the coverage in June would also be reduced to 58% of Rs.200,000 which would be Rs.116,129 against the partial payment of Rs.2 x 18 = Rs36+tax.

  4. Loss of sight to such an extent as to render the claimant unable to perform any work for which eye-sight is essential
  5. Very severe facial disfigurement
  6. Absolute deafness

Q: What is the estimated time to settle the claim?
A: 90% of the claims are settled generally within 72 hours of the receiving of the documents.
Q: Can a customer buy multiple policies?
A: One customer can buy one policy of one product under one CNIC. However, one customer can buy multiple products at the same time.

A: Waiting Period or No Claim period of a policy (if any) mentioned in the product overview is the number of days, from the time the policy is subscribed, during which the coverage is not applicable. This is valid just once, at the time of subscribing the policy and not during any renewal period.
Q: What does Beneficiary/Nominee mean?
A: Beneficiary/Nominee means a person or person(s) appointed by the subscriber to receive benefits payable under the policy subscribed. Beneficiaries must have insurable interest (for example: Wife, Mother, Father, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter, Grandson and Granddaughter).
Q: What are policy exclusions?
A: Policy exclusions are the reasons or exceptional situations of claim occurrences under which the claim for the policy becomes unpayable.

Q: What is the additional tax on my subscriptions?
A: All subscription charges are quoted as base rate + tax. The tax is the sales tax applicable on all VAS (value-added services) of Telcos. The tax rate that will be charged in addition to the daily subscription shall be:
  • 19.5% for sims registered outside Islamabad Federal Territory
  • 16% for sim registered in Islamabad Federal Territory

Terms & Conditions

  • All subscriptions are automatically renewed unless cancelled by the subscriber.
  • In order to have full coverage under your plan, the daily subscription fee or premium should be paid in full in the previous month, which means daily deduction should be successful on each day of the previous calendar month. In case of partial payment (due to insufficient balance or the month being the commencement month), the benefit coverage under the selected plan shall be reduced on a pro-rata basis for the following month.
  • Under daily subscription plans, we will make daily attempts to collect the pre-defined daily subscriptions or premium value in full or partial (50% of plan price, where full deduction is unsuccessful) from your mobile balance. There will not be accumulative daily premium deduction for days when the balance was insufficient. This means max deduction on any given day could be of one day’s premium value. 
  • All subscriptions and any benefits payable under the products will be in Pakistani rupees.
  • On-call consent by the customer will be taken as a legally binding agreement to enroll or subscribe for the insurance plan/product. 
  • Upon subscription, the user agrees to recurring service charges deducted from mobile balance and auto-renewal until they unsubscribe.
  • By enrollment in products, subscribers authorize Zong (CM Pak) to share their details available to the parties providing these products.
  • The insurance benefit offered under the products will be governed by the terms and conditions contained in the group policy or policies issued by registered insurance companies in Pakistan. The insurance cover provided in these products are underwritten by EFU Life Assurance Limited, who will be responsible for payment of valid claims under the insurance policies.
  • The products are developed by Waada Digital Pvt Limited who is also providing distribution and administrative services under this arrangement.
  • The subscription fee must be paid in advance for a subscriber to be eligible for the products.
  • The terms of the products including subscription fee can be amended or the products can be withdrawn by the supplier parties at any time and in such an event subscribers shall be informed through an SMS or any other manner as agreed between them.
  • SMS notifications for subscribed services and service renewal may be sent anytime during 24 hours.
  • Notice of claim under this policy must be given to Waada within three hundred and sixty-five days (365) days of the claim occurrence.
